This a first printing of the scarce Headline hardcover edition as indicated by the "Reprinted in this edition in 1990 by Headline Book Publishing Plc" statement with full 10-1 print line. This title previously published in 1981 by W H Allen (HB) and Star books (PB). Black boards with gold blocking to spine. Book has been read but still stands reasonably square, lower corner tips rubbed through and some light rubbing to lower edges of the lightly soiled boards. Head of spine slightly crunched, tail of spine heavily rubbed (the biggest fault really otherwise a very good copy). Text block appears clean if somewhat age discoloured as is common with Headline titles from this period. DJ shows creasing to all edges with a small chip at the lower front spine hinge and a small chip and some staining to the lower front flap fold, covers are lightly rubbed with one unfortunate heavy rub to the upper left front panel (shame!), spine sun faded. £16.99 price intact on front flap. So obviously not the best copy but extraordinarily scarce in this first printing (most that appear are second printings or ex library copies) and in new brodart cover doesn't look too shabby on the shelf.
