Fine/Fine. This a first printing of the UK/US first hardback edition
as indicated by the “This first world edition published in Great
Britain 1998 by Severn House Publishers Ltd” and “This title
first published in the U.S.A. 1998 by Severn House Publishers Inc”
statements with no further printings mentioned. Sharp clean dark blue
boards with gold lettering to spine. A very minor binding crease to
the tail of the spine with an associated small crease to DJ. A square
standing tight unread copy with bright clean text block. Being picky
the edges of the text block show just a little very minor soiling
(handling marks I think). The DJ is clean and bright with £17.99 and
$25 prices intact on the front flap. The spine is a little sun faded.
If not for this it would be pretty much mint but nonetheless is a
high grade copy. The third in Masterton’s “Rook” series most
went directly into the library system. This copy escaped that fate.
Extremely rare and highly collectible you will be hard pressed to
find a better copy.
