This a first printing of the UK First Edition as indicated by the "First published in Great Britain in 1998 by Hodder and Stoughton" statement with full 10 to 1 number line. Publishers stamp on the dedication page reads "This book was slightly damaged in transit and is now being sold at a special discount price". I can't see anything terribly wrong with it other than the stamp itself! Clean red boards with foil lettering to spine. Lower left tip of rear board slightly bumped. Small pressure bump to front board near the top edge. Head and tail of spine a tad crunched / flattened. Square standing it appears to have been carefully read. Text block clean with a touch of the common age discolouration. DJ a little rubbed / creased at the head of the spine and lightly creased with a couple of small nicks / chips to the tail. Some light edge wear to the front and rear panels. £17.99 price is intact on the front flap. This copy flat signed in my presence by Simon Clark at the World Horror Convention in Brighton, March 2010. Tough to find signed copies.
