Slaughterhouse UK First Edition

Shaun Hutson. Slaughterhouse. Robert Hale 1983. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine / Near Fine. This a first printing of the UK First Edition as indicated by the "First published in Great Britain 1983" statement with no subsequent printings mentioned. Sharp clean black boards with silver lettering to spine. A lovely tight unread copy, text block clean marred only by a touch of foxing to the top edge. DJ is very sharp marred only by a small closed tear to the bottom edge of front panel and some age/storage related staining (not sure if this is foxing or not) to the back panel. The edges of the flaps which protrude above the text block are a bit dusty - I reckon this one has been sat on a shelf untouched for the best part of thirty years. £7.75 price intact on front flap. Hutson wrote a few of these war books and the print runs were small, most going to the library system, hence they are extraordinarily scarce and finding one in this kind of condition is nigh on impossible. A real collectors copy.
