Graham Masterton. Rook. Severn House 1996. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Fine. This a first printing of the UK first edition as indicated by the "This first world edition published in Great Britain 1996 by Severn House Publishers Ltd" statement with no further printings mentioned. Published simultaneously in the UK & US as many Severn House books are. Clean black boards with gold lettering to spine. Upper rear corner tip a little bumped and a very minor bump to the upper of the front edge. Book has a slight lean and appears to have been carefully read. Upper edge of text block just a touch soiled/discoloured otherwise the pages are clean and white. The DJ is very nice - upper tips of the front and rear flap folds are ever so slightly rubbed and there is a very faint crease to the upper corner of the rear panel otherwise clean and bright showing only marginal spine fading (very common with Severn House covers). £16.99 and $24 prices intact on the front flap. Overall better than Very Good but note quote Fine - a very collectable copy of an extraordinarily scarce edition - the first of the Jim Rook novels. Many Severn House books go straight into the library system - this copy escaped that fate!
