James Herbert. Others. Macmillan, 1999. First Edition. Original Wraps. Advance Reading Copy (ARC). Good/No Jacket. This an uncorrected proof / advance reading copy of the UK First Edition. The slightly concave spine shows three vertical reading creases and a small 5mm tear to the laminate cover at the tail. Front panel is clean and glossy showing three bumps to the right edge / lower right corner with associated creasing and a quite heavy bump at the bottom of the spine hinge. Back cover clean and glossy showing a little edge wear and sporadic pressure / handling creases. Despite the reading creases it stands pretty square and the binding remains remarkably tight. Internally clean with no signs of previous ownership, store/library stamps etc. Edges of book block just a tad dust soiled. Overall, while not a minter, it is a perfectly decent example of a very uncommon Herbert proof. REF833
