This a first printing of the UK first edition as indicated by the “First published 2001 by Macmillan” statement with full “135798642” print line. Sharp clean black boards with silver blocking to spine, pictorial endpapers illustrating The Bracken Estate. A lovely unread copy in equally fine black DJ (simultaneously issued in a white DJ too) with £16.99 price intact on front flap. I purchased this copy on publication and it went straight on my shelf so it is unlikely you will find a nicer one. Note that this edition went into multiple reprints so be careful when buying. REFC152
