James Herbert. Moon. Hodder & Stoughton 1993. First Thus. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine. This a first printing of the Hodder & Stoughton reissued hardback as indicated by the “First published by Hodder and Stoughton 1993” statement with no subsequent printings/impressions mentioned. Sharp, veryclean black boards with immaculate gold blocking to spine, white endpapers. A square standing, tightly bound copy which appears unread marred only by some faint foxing/soiling to the top edge of the text block. DJ is clean and bright showing only the most minor creasing/edge wear to to the top edge and some light pressure marks on the back panel. £15.99 price is intact on the front flap. Originally published in hardback by New English Library in 1985. Hodder and Stoughton reissued Herbert’s early titles in a “uniform” edition. The initial print runs were quite small (around 2000) and first printings are thus scarce and quite collectible. This a much better than decent copy of a scarce edition and if it wasn’t for the foxing I would be asking double!
