This a first printing of the UK first edition as indicated by the “First published 1981” statement with no subsequent printings mentioned. Sharp clean black boards with gold blocking to spine, white endpapers. A tight square standing clearly unread copy. Internally clean with no signs of previous ownership. Text block a tad age discoloured/off white. DJ clean and bright. Spine is a little sun faded. Tips of the flap folds very slightly rubbed. There is a very minor repair to the front panel (by spine hinge near gun butt) which is almost invisible. I only spotted it when I put a DJ cover on. £6.50 price is intact on front flap. A lovely copy of a book that is hard to find in nice condition.
