Stephen King. Four Past Midnight. Hodder and Stoughton 1990. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Fine. This a first printing of the UK first edition as indicated by the “First published in Great Britain 1990” statement with no subsequent printings/impressions mentioned. Very sharp clean black boards with gold blocking to spine, white endpapers. A lovely square unread copy with none of the usual flattening/softening to the extremities of the spine (it is a monster of a book and suffers from its weight). The text block is clean showing just a little of the very common age discolouration and only the most minor soiling to the edges. Sellers price pencilled to the FEP (can be erased but I don’t like to). DJ is equally as nice showing just a minor pressure crease at the head of the spine, a touch of very faint edge creasing and a small pressure crease near the front flap fold. Clean and bright with £14.99 price intact on the front flap. Now the best part of thirty years old and very difficult to find in unread collectible condition.
