Graham Masterton. Faces Of Fear. Severn House 1996. Hard Cover. First Edition. Near Fine / Near Fine. This a first printing of the UK first edition as indicated by the "This first world edition published in Great Britain 1996 by Severn House Publishers Ltd" statement with no further printings mentioned. Published simultaneously in the UK & US as many Severn House books are. Sharp clean black boards with gold lettering to spine. Tail of spine a tad flattened / rubbed. Book stands square and feels tightly bound - possibly an unread copy, if read then very carefully done. Upper edge of text block a little discoloured but pages themselves are clean and white. Fore-edge shows just a touch of discolouration and there is a little staining to the bottom edge (see photo). The DJ is pretty sharp - upper tips of the front and rear flap folds are ever so slightly rubbed and the spine is a touch sun faded but not so bad as to be hugely detrimental. There is the occasional pressure mark and a touch of very fine creasing the length of the rear spine hinge. £16.99 and $24 prices are intact on the front flap. Overall a much better than decent copy of a very rare book - most ended up in the library system. This one escaped that fate!
