This a first (and only) printing of the UK first edition as indicated by the “W H Allen London 1987” statement on the title page and the lack of any subsequent printings/impressions on the copyright page. Sharp clean pictorial boards (no DJ as issued), white endpapers. Head of spine ever so slightly flattened and a couple of small pressure marks on back board. A tight square unread copy. Internally clean with no signs of previous ownership. Top edge of text block ever so slightly dust soiled. This novelization based upon the 1965 original screenplay by Dennis Spooner. A wonderful example of a very scarce hardback edition. Flat signed on the FEP by both Peter Purves and Maureen O’Brien with their character names (Steven Taylor and Vicki). A fantastic book that would be at home in any Who collection.
