Published under the Deanna Dwyer pseudonym this is a first printing of the TRUE US FIRST EDITION (paperback original) as indicated by no further printings / impressions being mentioned on the copyright page. The publishing history of this title can be somewhat confusing as in the same year, another edition was published by Magnum as a Magnum Gothic Original (Prestige Easy Eye) which also stated "never before published" on the front cover - worse, that one was available in two versions. One with a 95 cents cover price and the other with a $1.50 cover price. Both were preceded by this edition published by Lancer Books Inc as a Lancer Gothic Original with "Easy Eye" larger type. It too, though quite truthfully, states "Never before published" on the front cover. Book has something of a lean with reading creases to the spine, head and tail of spine quite heavily rubbed, front cover shows some edge wear and diagonal creases to the upper and lower right corners. Back cover has a very small crease to lower left, is lightly soiled and has a mark "L 15c" to upper left. Still tightly bound the text block is clean with no store stamps or PO markings. Upper left corner slightly curled. So not a minter by any means but extraordinarily scarce in this, the true first edition.
