James Herbert. Creed. Hodder and Stoughton 1990. First Edition. Hard Cover. Signed by Author. Very Good / Very Good. This a first printing of the UK first edition as indicated by the “Published by Hodder and Stoughton” and “First published in Great Britain 1990” statements with no subsequent printings mentioned. Clean red paper covered boards, white endpapers. Spine a little crunched at the tail showing one faint vertical crease. Lower right corner of front board a little bumped / turned. Lower left corner of rear board a little bumped with some edge rubbing. Book has a lean but is very tightly bound and I am convinced it is unread (or at worst only partially read). Internally clean with no signs of previous ownership, store / library stamps etc. Pages somewhat age discoloured, particularly at the edges. DJ very lightly creased at the head and tail of the spine. Front and rear panels show a little very light soiling and light creasing to the edges. Back panel shows a few light pressure creases. £12.95 price intact on front flap. This copy flat signed by James Herbert on the title page. Signed copies of this title (one of his best in my opinion) are very uncommon.
