This a first printing of the UK First Edition as indicated by the "First published in Great Britain 1981" statement with no subsequent printings mentioned. Sharp clean black boards with silver blocking to spine. Very small binding crease at tail of spine (not a bump as the edge is very sharp). Tightly bound and appears unread. Text block clean though a little foxing to the top edge. DJ shows a touch of surface rubbing and edge wear at the tips of the flap folds but is pretty sharp overall with £6.50 price intact on front flap. Hutson wrote a few of these war books and the print runs were small, most going to the library system, hence they are extraordinarily scarce and finding one in this kind of condition is nigh on impossible. A real collectors copy.
