Richard Laymon. Bite. Headline 1996. First Edition. Hard Cover. Signed by Author & Illustrator. Fine/ Fine. This a first printing of the UK first edition as indicated by the "First published in Great Britain in 1996 by Headline Book Publishing" statement with full 10-1 print line. Very sharp clean black boards with gold foil blocking to spine, head and tail of spine ever so slightly crunched. Text block tight and appears unread (if read then very carefully done), suffering from the usual age discolouration associated with Headline books from this period. DJ clean and bright showing little if any edge wear and just the slightest surface rubs. The only real flaw I could spot is a small diagonal crease at the lower corner of the front flap near the £16.99 price. Comes with a red "Exclusive Overlook Connection Bookplate" signed by Richard Laymon laid in. Additionally the front flap has been signed by cover artist Steve Crisp (in my presence at the World Horror Convention, Brighton, March 2010). An extremely scarce UK 1st edition - many for sale are book club editions. I have been collecting Richard Laymon for the last thirty plus years and this copy taken from my personal collection.
