James Herbert. The Survivor. New English Library 1976. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good / Very Good. This a first printing of the UK first edition as indicated by the "First published in Great Britain by New English Library, Barnard's Inn, Holborn, London, EC1N 2JR in 1976" statement with no subsequent printings/impressions mentioned. Very clean black boards with lovely gold blocking to spine, tail of spine slightly softened, small bump to head of spine, small bump to upper edge of front board, corner tips very lightly rubbed. The book stands square. Pastedowns clean, some staining to front endpaper and the rear endpaper has been removed, text block age discoloured as expected. The dust jacket is price clipped but well saturated with no spine fade, lightly creased at the spine ends, some light soiling to front panel and slightly stained to the rear. Overall while in no way the perfect copy a very presentable example of an extraordinarily scarce title (I'll find you five copies of The Rats for every one of these!).
