This a first printing of the US first edition as indicated by the “First Edition” statement on the copyright page with no subsequent printings/impressions mentioned. Sharp clean green boards with gold blocking to front board and spine, black endpapers, head and tail bands. Book has ever such a slight lean but is very tightly bound showing resistance when opened suggesting it may have been very gently read. Internally clean and bright with no signs of previous ownership, store/library stamps etc. DJ clean and bright with $25 price intact on front flap. Flat signed by co-author Richard Chizmar on the half title. I recall seeing pictures of Richard surrounded by huge piles of books to sign on publication but nonetheless signed copies of this first edition are quite elusive on the secondary market.
